Riverbank Pictures developing feature film thriller “Darker Than Night”

Sloan is a beautiful young woman with a mind of her own. Determined and independent, she struggles with the blindness suffered from a diving accident. At eighteen she’s desperate to live a normal life and break free from protective parents and patronizing friends.

When her parents go to the family cabin for a night and leave her home alone for the first time, Sloan wants to make the best of it. But an unfaithful boyfriend leaves her miserable and alone in the family farmhouse, miles from the nearest neighbor.

She’s not alone for long when a stranger comes to call. Bill, a smooth talking, murderous sociopath cast out from the town years before is looking for Sloan’s father. Instead he finds Sloan, a helpless blind girl and the perfect outlet for the vengeance he seeks.

But he picks the wrong blind girl. Sloan uses sheer will, gut instincts and heightened senses to overcome her fears and disability in a bloody battle for survival.
